We at Laughing Sun Brewing have always prided ourselves on supporting our Local Bismarck-Mandan Art and Music scene and we are looking to continue to grow that community! ???
• NEW MUSICIANS or AMATEURS! We are looking to host an evening where some of our home grown talented musicians can take the stage and play a set!
• LOCAL ARTISTS! Monthly we have and want to showcase YOUR artwork (paintings, photography, hangable art) on the walls inside of our Taproom. We take ZERO commission giving you the chance to be able to sell to our community!
• EVENTS, CLASSES, GAMES or GROUPS! Sundays we often have different groups of people from our community meeting or holding classes at our Taproom. Let us know and maybe we can help be a landing spot for you!

Claire Wellin brings her new album, The Sun and Fun Capital of the Midwest, back home to Bismarck on her fall tour. A 2005 graduate of Bismarck High, the violinist singer-songwriter released her first solo record in June on Better Company Records in Brooklyn, NY, where she now lives. The album was made with support from the NY State Council on the Arts and tells the stories of the women who came before her. Drawing on interviews with her grandmothers, great aunt, and extended family and incorporating violin looping, cassette tapes, and other acoustic sounds to explore life, death, and the lessons that emerge in its wake. Riley Downing of The Deslondes is stopping at Laughing Sun Brewing while out on the road!

Born in North Carolina and raised in small-town Holt, Missouri, Downing cut his teeth at warehouse punk shows in Kansas City before eventually moving to New Orleans. In Louisiana, he joined forces with Sam Doores, John James Tourville and other likeminded musicians to form The Tumbleweeds, a band that morphed into sought-after swamp-country outfit The Deslondes, one of the coolest bands in Americana that tours & releases music today. When not swapping songs on stage with his Deslondes bandmates, Downing lends his burly baritone voice to a solo career that includes 2021 album Start It Over and the forthcoming follow-up, Landfill Poetry.

Jen Howard is an American singer/songwriter and multi-instrumentalist, born in Prestonsburg, Kentucky. Although coming from a blue-collar and home schooled upbringing, Jen's music is a mix of Folk, Roots, Reggae and Sophisti-Pop. Her music's central themes include; human nature, love, courageous motivation and intentional compassion for ourselves and others. In 2019, Jen released the debut EP "Motion". Her follow-up album "Still" was released March, 2024.
